SLED DOG HARNESSES

I make these Recreational Sled Dog Harnesses out of 1" poly webbing that is light weight and durable. They are padded with polar fleece for your dogs comfort. This is the same basic type harness my husband and I each use for our teams of racing AKC registed Siberian Husky sled dogs.

I will also include instructions on how to put the harness on the dog and how to start teaching your dog to pull. ANY BREED of dog will have a good time in this harness.

Harnesses are sold by weight, breed and age of the dog.

I Usually have webbing in black, blue, red, orange, pink, purple, red/white/blue striped, black/red/orange/yellow striped and fr4om time to time will have other colors available.

I design and make these harnesses myself. It is made out of poly webbing that is light weight and durable. The entire harness is padded with polar fleece for your dogs comfort. The buckle is black with backing to prevent pinching your dog, with double fleece under that for comfort.

I designed this harness for my Labrador Retrievers years ago when I first got my sacco cart. I was so excited about getting a ride in my sacco cart. I put "D" harnesses on each of the two dogs and told them to go... they both "stepped out" of their "D" harnesses and there I sat in the sacco cart with the harnesses dangling while the dogs ran off. They did come right back when I whistled ! They say that necessity is the mother of invention and so I went to the sewing machine with an idea. Not only can you use this type of harness for sled, rigs, carts, wagons, and travios, but also for dogs to pull you in a boat, on a scooter, or on skis or skates. Truly a Multipurpose Harness.

This harness has two loops on each side for pulling a wagon, cart or travios, and also has a loop up on top to hook the dog up to a boat, sled, scooter, ext. For safety reasons it also has the double padded side release buckle up on top for quick release that you may need if the dog would get hung up in the water, or if you had a "tangle" with the wagon or cart.

I will also include instructions on how to put the harness on the dog and how to start teaching your dog to pull a wagon or cart with shafts. ANY BREED of dog will have a good time in this harness, Saint St. Bernard, Newfoundland, Mastiff, Great Dane, Rotterweiler, like I said, or any breed pulling a wagon, cart, boat or anything else you will safely enjoy . You could also use this harness for your dog to pull you on a sled, rig, scooter, roller blades, or skis.

Heavy Duty, 1 1/2" webbing Recreational Sled Dog Harness with REAL Sleigh Bells. The bells are approx. 1 1/2" in diameter and have a very nice tone to them. I "weave" the bells into the harness so that they stay on for years. This harrness is another Marna's Menagerie Exclusive.

I usually have 1 1/2" webbing in Foraest Green, Red, Black and Blue.

OTHER FUN SLED DOG ITEMS

Sled Dog/Musher Baby Bib. This is a cute and a Marna's Menagerie exclusive. This is made with a sled dog in harness print fabric, that also says "Artic Excursion" and "Sled Dog Team". The back side is an absorbant quilted fabric. The trim can be made in black, blue, maroon or white. The straps are very long for easy tie around baby's neck. The bib is approx. 9 1/2" x 12".

Musher's Hat with Sled Dog Print. A Marna's Menagerie Exclusive!! It looks a bit funny here as we only had a stuffed dog to display it on. The outside fabric is a water resistant canvas type fabric. The inside, next to your head is a soft and warm polar fleece. The ear flaps can be worn down or flipped up over your head and the same velcro that would hold the hat on your head will hold the flaps up. There is a generous piece of velcro to close that is set into the hat so that the soft side faces your neck.

Hat comes in Small/Medium or Large/Extra Large.
